We are a group of local residents who are deeply disappointed at the lack of consultation being shown to us by Maribyrnong Council in regard to building an access road linking Eleanor Street, Footscray and the new Southampton Street car park.
A council's key mission should be to serve its residents. We believe Maribyrnong Council has shown deep disregard and disrespect for our safety and quality of life by failing to consult with us regarding this significant change to our neighbourhood.
We believe this has ramifications for all City of Maribyrnong residents who may be affected by a similar lack of consultation regarding major projects in their area in the future.

We believe a solution exists that will suit all parties and we call on Maribyrnong Council to work with us and the hospitals concerned to negotiate a fair outcome for all.
